Creams, rather than foams are the way to go.


Place about a quarter sized amount of the cream/foam in your hands. Then apply to your face, making sure to cover the upper lip and a moderate amount of the neck area. Pretty much any where you have hair growth apply cream. However I would not go any higher than just below the points of the cheek bone. Hair growth there is usually minimal and not worth shaving.


Another helpful thing is to soak a hand towel in warm water and apply to face for about 30-45 seconds before you shave. This will ease the shaving process. Also when shaving the neck, do not shave with an up stroke towards the jaw line. You don't need to use fancy-pants shaving cream. Just one of those brushes, hot water and some soap. Mix in your hand, and bam, easy shave.
