How many years of college do i need to put in to be a firefighter? what classes do i need to take? I'm just out of college now and can't seem to get a job as a firefighter, and want to know if i should go back to school.

I've been a firefighter for 15 years. Fire departments reall vary. For larger cities, no college is needed. They will send you to their fire academy, so that you can learn their way of doing things, heir rules, and their procedures. In smaller rural areas, some towns may require you to have been in firefighting school already. The way to get that done is to join a local volunteer fire department and have them send you to school for free. Few fire departments require a 2 year degree to be hired as a firefighter.
