for these you can just assume thay equal zero. so:





x- 3/x - 3 = 0


rearrange so the x's are on one side.


x- 3/x = 3


you don't want it in 3/x, so multiply by x to rearrange it.


x^2 - 3 = 3x


use quadratic formula.


x^2 -3x -3 =0
