How can i get a good list of grants to apply for with out having to buy a book?

I applied to the fasfa and they say my mom makes to much money, but my parents dont help pay for my school. I have been using fastweb and have applied for all the ones i can, but havnt recieved anything back. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!!!!How can i get a good list of grants to apply for with out having to buy a book?
I would recommend getting a financial aid counselor at your school's financial aid office. Make sure you fill our any institutional aid forms they have, most colleges offer numerous scholarships, and you only have to fill out one application for it. A financial aid counselor can usually find you what you need if you explain your situation to them.

Another tip:: If your parents have anything less than perfect credit, apply for the credit check for a parent plus loan. If they are denied, you will be considered independent and will be eligible to receive double the funds on your yearly stafford loans. What's more, half of the loan will be unsubsidized, which means the government will pay the interest while you are in school.

If all else fails, and you are unable to get enough grants and such to pay for college, you may want to go with an alternative loan. (Sallie Mae is wonderful). The interest is high, but you don't have to pay them back until 6 months after you graduate. =)How can i get a good list of grants to apply for with out having to buy a book?
You can either look online or you can also go and ask a financial adviser at your school. Your school councilor would also have some ideas and be able to tell you some other places to look or even have applications and infor mation on grants.

Good luck I know that college is expensive and I hope that you get some help paying for it.
the library has the books so you dont have to buy them, thats what i did
