My orthodontist took 1 hour 10 mins, including showing us all the cleaning stuff. There's a lot off stuff she had to put on, brackets, wires, lace wires, cleaning the teeth and lots of poking and proding. By the way, get good colour elastics, I have blue and green and they are very bright!!!! (i had pink and purple last time and they were good, not too bright and quite pretty)
i have had braces, i'm 14. when i got mine it took about 20 to 35 minutes, every orthordontist will say about 45 minutes but really it's less than that. and they usually always are quicker than the time given. make sure you look after them though. and they will hurt alot after, make sure you have anti-biotics like nuerofen ready, and soft food like soup + jelly.
It only takes about 30 mintutes about 25 to apply them and then another 5 for them to tell you what and what not to eat then your free to go they might be a little soar but they will be worth it!

I took my daughter and we were out in about 20 mins. Look after them!
